Victim dies after shooting on Seth Green Drive
UPDATE: On October 11, Rochester Police say the victim, 53-year-old Rodney Corbit, died from his injuries on October 3.
Police don’t have anyone in custody, and are continuing to investigate the murder.
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A man was shot early Friday evening on Seth Green Drive, according to Rochester Police.
Rochester Police responded to Seth Green Drive, near St. Paul Street, at about 4:45 p.m. for the report of shots heard and a person possibly shot. They found a 53-year-old Rodney Corbit from Rochester who had at least one gunshot wound to both his upper and lower body. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital. Police reported at around 9:30 p.m. Friday that he was still in surgery for life-threatening injuries.
The area of Seth Green Drive and St. Paul was shut down for several hours but has since been reopened.
Police said the circumstances leading up to shooting remain unknown and there is no one in custody. anyone with information is asked to call 911.
