ALBANY, N.Y. — A new statewide survey showed that 55% of respondents favor Gov. Kathy Hochul over her Republican challenger Congressman Lee Zeldin in the governor’s race.
SurveyUSA asked 1,200 New Yorkers if they favored Hochul or Zeldin, with less than three months until the November 8 General Election. 31% favored Zeldin.
Outside of New York City, Hochul only leads by 8 percentage points. Zeldin leads Hochul among republicans and conservatives by 69 percentage points and 36 percentage points respectively.
WNYT in Albany, the sister station of News10NBC, commissioned the survey.
