ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Saturday’s three-dollar movie day was a big hit at movie theaters. Most of them reduced ticket prices to three dollars on September 3rd in recognition of National Cinema Day. The promotion drew in more than eight million customers, making Saturday the best day of the year for movie theater attendance. Theaters made more than $24 million in ticket sales, which is a nine percent increase from the previous week.
