Train derails in Genesee County

GENESEE COUNTY, N.Y. – No one was injured when a train went off the tracks in Corfu.
It happened at the Fargo Road railroad crossing.
According to the Genesee County fire coordinator, four cars carrying trailers were involved. At least two boxcars went off the tracks.
A preliminary investigation indicates a mechanical failure, but further investigation is still needed.
