Two people in Wayne County arrested for sexually abusing children

WAYNE COUNTY: 43-year-old Michael Akers of Newark, and 35-year-old Tammy Akers of Lyons, were arrested for sexually assaulting children. Wayne County deputies say the two sexually abused two children on multiple occasions, between August 2015 and February 2016.

The charges include predatory sexual assault against a child, rape, and endangering the welfare of a child
