Wegmans will hold prescription drug drop-off events on Saturday
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Wegmans is partnering with local law enforcement agencies to hold prescription drug drop-off events at its stores on Saturday, Oct. 28.
In the Rochester area, the participating store locations are Brockport, Calkins Road, Chili-Paul, Holt Road, Irondequoit, Lyell Avenue, and Penfield. You can drop off drugs between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The service is free and anonymous with no questions asked. Wegmans says the goal is to get rid of potentially dangerous, expired, unused, or unwanted prescription drugs from homes. Liquids or needles will not be accepted.
Across the country, 41 total Wegmans are participating in the drop-off events. That includes the Dick Road and McKinley locations around Buffalo and the Auburn, Dewitt, Fairmount, Great Northern, James Street, John Glenn, and Taft Road locations around Syracuse.
