Reentry & substance abuse support program held its annual Christmas celebration
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – During the year Reentry & Community Development Center, Inc. works with the City’s most vulnerable populations. They provide direct support services to men and women recently released from jail or prison, and those struggling with addiction.
They are the only Black-led grassroots non-profit organization in the Rochester area, who provides direct services to violent felony offenders, and people who are in early recovery, causing them to be at-risk for overdose.
“The holiday season is a fragile time of the year for those we work with and we will celebrate our participants who utilize our services with food, giftbags, gift cards, and motivational speeches from our staff and our Executive Director, Miquel Powell, BSW. This is our way of supporting those who may feel most hopeless during the holiday season,” Powell said.
