City of Rochester seeks public input on plans to improve Highland Reservoir

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The City of Rochester is laying out its plans to improve the Highland Reservoir and it wants your input.

This has been years in the making, but comes months after a body was found in the water. The unrelated project aims to follow EPA regulations.

Here’s the deal: The city will either have to cover the open, finished water storage facilities or install certain treatment methods. Right now, Highland gets filled from the city’s Rush Reservoir, which is covered.

City officials will lay out the plans Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Olmsted Lodge in Highland Park.
