Deadly crash in Farmington
The News10NBC Team details breaking News, Traffic and Weather.
GENEVA, N.Y. — A Farmington woman is dead after crashing her car while under the influence of alcohol, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO).
Deputies say it happened in Geneva early Sunday morning. Around 2 a.m. Alyssa Coleman had been driving on County Road 4 when she veered off the road and crashed into a large tree.
Police say she had been drinking and speeding, which both likely played a factor. Coleman was 36.
The road was shut down for hours this morning as deputies investigated, but has since reopened. The full cause and other details of the crash are still under investigation.
