Mother and son charged with assault, gun crimes after argument turns violent

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester police have arrested two people they say were involved in a shooting on East Main Street just after midnight on October 23.

Police found two men shot and both were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital. Investigators say Raquel Quinn began arguing with one of the victims she’d recently had a child with. Police say Quinn and her son Christopher Bermudez then shot one victim multiple times and stabbed the other.

During the investigation, police found two guns at a house on Dewey Avenue that Bermudez had reported stolen.

Quinn and Bermudez are both facing assault and gun charges.
