NYSEG and RG&E customers can apply for electric bill assistance starting Friday
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Starting this Friday, NYSEG and RG&E customers can apply for financial assistance to help pay electric bills this winter.
The Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) provides enrolled customers with funds for their electrical bills. Anyone enrolled in HEAP will also get a monthly credit on their bill, through the company’s own Energy Assistance Program.

Benefits are available through March 17th of next year – or until the money runs out.
