She told police when she started feeling like she was losing consciousness, she got out of the KIA and Weathers drove it away.

One of the ways we helped put an end to these chases in the vehicle, ended up leaving the roadway and driving at the trooper, causing a trooper to jump out of the way and avoid being struck by the vehicle,” said Captain Greg Bello with the Rochester Police Department.

According to the court paperwork, “Weathers put the trooper’s life in danger – and quote were intentional to prevent her from exiting her patrol car and deploying spike strips.”

The vehicle was damaged, and officers found Weathers in a backyard in Charlotte and arrested him. He is facing several charges, the most serious being 2nd degree felony robbery and 2nd degree felony assault.
