Tractor trailer fire extinguished on Thruway in Henrietta

HENRIETTA, N.Y. — A tractor trailer fire on the Thruway in Henrietta near Reed Road blocked traffic Friday afternoon.
Fire officials say it was caused by a mechanical issue. The fire blocked traffic in the eastbound lanes.
Crews were able to put the fire out, and no one was hurt. The left lane has since reopened.
