Postal delivery worker accused of stealing checks in the mail while working

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — A Rochester man was arrested in Canandaigua after deputies say he stole checks in the mail while working for the postal delivery service.

Ontario County deputies say they arrested Sekou Diakate on July 31 — saying their investigation showed Diakate had been stealing checks since 2023. Diakate was brought to Ontario County Jail while he awaits his arraignment.
