ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A homeless shelter in Rochester might reopen its doors again for some of the city’s neediest people. The House of Mercy may be back open as early as this Thursday. News10NBC reached out to Sister Grace Miller, who is acting as the shelter’s spiritual director. She hopes they can open on the first of September, but nothing is set in place as of yet.

Earlier this month two members of the shelter were brutally stabbed while sleeping at the shelter, one fatally. The shelter has been closed since.
