BRIGHTON, N.Y. (WHEC) —Brighton Police say a car stolen from Rochester was recovered Thursday morning as part of an investigation into a number of thefts.
Both BPD and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office could be seen blocking off a portion of French Road to Chalet Circle, which is roughly two blocks, for several hours. The car was found on Chalet.
All investigators could tell a News10NBC crew at the scene was the discovery of the stolen car, and the theft cases.
Chief David Catholdi later told News10NBC that the suspect ran from the scene and has not been located. He said there have been thefts nearby, but did not say if police believe they are connected at this time.
As we’ve reported, car thefts and break-ins have been widespread throughout the area.
