BUFFALO, N.Y. (WHEC) – Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is turning down an opportunity to play in the NFL Pro Bowl.
Allen, who was named an alternate, was offered the chance to play as the Ravens’ Lamar Jackson is apparently out due to injury.
In a statement to ESPN, Allen said he needed to "allow my body to rest and recover from the harshness of the season."

Many, especially Bills fans, felt Allen deserved a spot ahead of Jackson, who had a season plagued with injuries.
The Chiefs Patrick Mahomes and Chargers Justin Herbert are the other QBs currently on the roster. That would certainly change if the Chiefs beat the Bengals this weekend.
The Pro Bowl is February 6, one week before the Super Bowl.
