Livingston County inmate charged with assaulting deputies
GENESEO, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Livingston CountyJail inmate has been charged with assaulting two jail deputies.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office says on March 15, inmate Kiara Rodriguez failed to follow a directive to return a medical device. Deputies attempted to close her cell door when she forced her way out and became combative. The Sheriff said one deputy was bitten on the hand and another was kicked in the side of the face.
Deputies deployed a taser and secured Rodriguez.
She has been charged with two counts of second degree assault. Bail was set at $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
