Quick thinking saves Crossfield Rd. house during fire

ROCHESTER, N.Y (WHEC) – News10NBC is following breaking news of a fire that happened Friday night on Crossfield Road.
Rochester firefighters arrived around 10 p.m. and found the elderly male homeowner outside. He said he heard his smoke alarm go off and found a fire in his attic.
His one request to firefighters was "Please save my house." And they did just that, putting out the flames before they spread to the rest of the home.
Firefighters credit the smoke alarm and the man’s quick call to 911.
