Rochester Police searching for suspect in credit union robbery

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Police are searching for a suspect who they say robbed the Summit Federal Credit Union on East Main Street Saturday afternoon.
At approximately 11:40 a.m., authorities arrived at Summit Federal Credit Union at 2315 E. Main St. for the report of a robbery.
Poice confirmed a robbery did occur and say that the suspect fled in a vehicle. No one was injured during the robbery.
This credit union robbery comes nearly a day after another credit union was robbed on Merchants Road late Friday afternoon.
Police cannot confirm whether the two robberies are connected.
The investigation is ongoing and no one is in custody at this time. If anyone has information they are asked to call authorities immediately.
