Rochester Rotary’s Sunshine Camp turning 100

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Rotary’s Sunshine Camp is turning 100 this year.

Campers are already excited about the fun that awaits them this summer.

Tuesday, the camp announced its plans to celebrate its anniversary while serving so many young people. The camp is fully accessible for kids and adults with all kids of different abilities.

"I like all the activities that we do and I like everything about that camp," camper Jake Snyder said. "It makes me a wonderful happy young boy."

"We just know that he’s in a place that he can expand," said his mother, Ann Snyder. It’s all adaptable to him and all of his peers so there’s nothing that’s off-limits. everything that he wants to try is accessible."

Jake has been a sunshine camper for 12 years now and says he can’t wait to keep coming back.
