YMCA of Greater Rochester acquires Watson Homestead

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The YMCA of Greater Rochester is expanding by acquiring the Watson Homestead conference and retreat center.

The two organizations have worked together for five decades for a summer day camp. Now, the property will be renamed as The Y at Watson Woods.

“This beautiful property presents an excellent opportunity to accomplish our goals of providing a space for families, outside of traditional in-branch offerings," said Mike Stevens, their Chief Strategy Officer.

There are plans to add more family events and group gatherings because of this addition.
