UPDATE: Shots fired in Durnan Street area; house with people inside struck
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Responding to a report of a person shot and people running Thursday afternoon on Durnan Street, Rochester Police found no one wounded — but they did find two people who said they were shot at, and a house that was struck by gunfire.
Police said they responded at about 4:09 p.m. To Durnan Street, near Carter Street. Two Rochester residents, ages 16 and 19, told them that two people shot at them, though neither was struck. While investigating the area, police came across an occupied house — with six people inside, ranging from 5 to 43 years old — that had been hit by gunfire. Nobody was hit, police said.
There have been no arrests. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
