Buffalo Bills sign veteran CB Xavier Rhodes
BUFFALO, N.Y. – On Tuesday, the Buffalo Bills signed veteran cornerback Xavier Rhodes. The move comes after many players in the Buffalo secondary have been injured over the first few weeks of the season.
Last week, safety Micah Hyde was placed on IR and announced he was done for the season. CB’s Dane Jackson and Christian Benford are also battling injuries. CB Tre White is looking to make his comeback to the field, but still has yet to return to practice.
Rhodes was a part of current defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier’s team when he was the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings. The 32-year-old made the All-Pro team in 2017 and was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2016, 2017, and 2019.
Rhodes last played in the NFL in 2021 with the Indianapolis Colts.
