City of Rochester looking for lifeguards ahead of summer
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The City of Rochester is already preparing for summer, as they are now hiring lifeguards and other aquatic positions for the 2025 summer season.
The pay range for seasonal lifeguards is $20 an hour. Anyone interested must be 15 years old or older. For the seasonal beach lifeguard position, applicants must be at least 16 years old. You can see the requirements to apply for a lifeguard position here.
For those interested in applying, the Adams R-Center Pool is offering full lifeguard training classes on Monday, April 14 through Friday, April 18. Classes run from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and it’s only for people who are applying for a position in the city.
In addition, the Adams R-Center Pool is holding recertification classes for applicants who need to renew their certification. Classes run from Thursday, May 22 through Saturday, May 24 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. There are also classes on Saturday, May 29 and Sunday, May 30 from 4 to 8 p.m.
