Crews battle two-alarm fire at vacant house on Gladstone Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Crews spent 45 minutes battling a two-alarm fire at a vacant home on Gladstone Street off Clinton Street on the city’s southwest side.

The Rochester Fire Department is still investigating the cause. The fire broke out just before 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday and crews arrived to heavy smoke from the back of the two-story house.

RFD says they used water to stop the fire from spreading to a neighboring home. Firefighters found several holes in the floor while battling the flames. No one was injured in the fire.
