Geneseo High School football player seriously injured during game

GENESEO, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Geneseo High School Football player is in the hospital after being seriously injured during a game.
According to Livingston County News, Julian Huffman was hurt in the game against York last Friday and had to be taken off the field by ambulance. He is currently recovering at Strong Memorial Hospital.
News10NBC spoke with Julian’s mom. She said that he had a subdural brain bleed and had to have emergency surgery—a craniotomy. She also said that Julian is impressing the medical team and is in the 98th percentile for a full recovery.

Cindy Flowers, Superintendent of Geneseo Central Schools released the following statement:
“The student-athlete that was injured during Friday night’s football game continues to make progress with his recovery.
Please understand that this is a difficult time. We ask that the media be respectful of the family’s and all of our students’ privacy.
We are keeping this student-athlete and his family in our thoughts and are sending him well wishes.”
