Three taken into custody after police pursuit of carjacked vehicle
GREECE, N.Y. – Three people were taken into custody after a police pursuit of a vehicle that had been stolen in a carjacking.
According to Rochester Police, officers saw a vehicle taken in a recent carjacking robbery at about 4:17 p.m. Wednesday, being driven on Hudson Avenue. They tried to stop the vehicle, which wouldn’t stop. It eventually was stopped on West Ridge Road near the Route 390 on-ramp, and three people were taken into custody without incident: two men from Rochester, ages 22 and 23, and a boy under 18 from Greece.
West Ridge Road was closed down but has since reopened.
Police said the investigation is still active.
